Certainly a place with its own personality, High Falls is a hot spot in the Hudson Valley for fine antiques, unique shops and great dining. Once made famous for it's canal, High Falls remembers its origins with the D&H Canal museum located in the heart of the town adjacent to a portion of the canal and 5 locks. If you're around for the warmer months, stop by the town's weekly Flea Market every Sunday. And, of course, you can't miss the spectacular waterfall fed by the Rondout creek. High Falls is the place for you if you live for unique local cultures, history and natural wonders as its residents, neighbors, and returning visitors do.
This is a great community. You can kayak, perfect little shops, the D&H Canal trail, and great restaurants.
