This Town, rich in culture is home to 22 parks, steeped in history and copious with a diversity of amenities. Among many National History Landmarks are the 1869 Bardavon Opera House, the Vassar College Observatory and main building at Vassar. The 1767 Glebe House, the home of Samuel Morse, Locust Grove offers house tours, walking trails and a picnic grove, along with the Morse Gallery exhibiting telegraph artifacts and art. Displays at the Sports Museum of Dutchess County include surprising celebrities in the Baseball Hall of Fame that played on teams in the County.
