Fresh from their summer tour, the international music sensation Matuto will make a stop at Unison Arts Center for an outdoor concert on Saturday, August 2nd at 6pm.
Drawing on Northeastern Brazil's folkloric rhythms like forro and maracatu, and on deep Americana music, from bluegrass to spirituals to swampy Louisiana jams, Matuto uses unexpected Pan-American sonic sympathies to craft appealing, rootsy, yet philosophical tales of love, self discovery and true peace.
Tickets are $21 in advance ($18 for Unison members) and $25 at the door ($22 members). Students are half price with a valid ID.
Audience members are encouraged to arrive early, and bring their own blankets or chairs.
Tickets can be purchased online at unisonarts.org or by calling 845-255-1559.
