| ROBERT CEPALE | | Award Winning Americana artist and local legend Robert Cepale has been painting pieces that express his deep feelings for American country life during the early 1900's. Robert reveres the simple unity of this horse and buggy driven society. "Times were hard, but they were real." Growing up in a small Brooklyn community, Robert remembers a closeness in family & friends that today's society has forgotten. He attended Pratt Institute, Huntington Art League & the Rockville Centre Art Club, fulfilling his passion to paint. In the early 80's after his children had grown, Robert and his wife moved to Windham. Robert's fascination with history and farm life led to a series of paintings reflecting the history of the area. He sought to bring alive the emotions and feelings of simple country life with accurate documentation. These paintings embrace the spirit of unity that people had at that time. | |
